Air Force ROTC at Columbia College

The University of Missouri Air Force ROTC program maintains a special partnership with Columbia College and five other mid-Missouri institutions, allowing students to pursue a commission in the United States Air Force while completing their degree at their institution of choice.  This partnership was evident on Tuesday, October 11th, as students from Central Methodist University, Stephens College, Williams Woods University, Westminster College, and the University of Missouri joined our own Columbia College AFROTC cadets, as Columbia College hosted their weekly leadership laboratory and physical fitness activities.

A special Retreat Ceremony was conducted on Bass Commons at 4:15 p.m. Some variation of this formal ceremony is conducted at every U.S. military installation daily, to signify the end of the regular duty day and to pay respect to our flag and our nation.

Our partnership with the Mizzou Air Force ROTC program allows students to pursue a commission in the Air Force while attending Columbia College.  There are currently six Columbia College students in the Air Force ROTC program.  There are similar numbers of Columbia College students participating in the Army and Naval ROTC programs.
